This class provides the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) required classroom training and firearms qualification needed to obtain your Texas License to Carry (LTC).

Whether you’re brand new or simply refreshing your skills, you’ll gain the confidence, clarity, and preparation to carry safely and responsibly under Texas law. 💪🤍

Texas License to Carry (LTC) Course

Formerly known as the Texas Concealed Handgun Course, the Texas License to Carry (LTC) course is designed for individuals who want to lawfully carry a handgun in the state of Texas, either openly or concealed.

This course meets all state requirements and includes 4 hours of mandatory classroom instruction, covering:

1. Texas laws related to weapons and the use of deadly force, including proper interaction with law enforcement.

2. Handgun use and safety, including secure carry methods and restraint holsters.

3. Non-violent dispute resolution techniques.

4. Safe storage practices, with emphasis on preventing child access and accidental injury.

Following the classroom portion, students will complete:

✅ A 25-question written test.

✅ A firearm proficiency demonstration, shooting a total of 50 rounds at distances of 3 yards, 7 yards, and 15 yards.

Important: Students must know how to safely load, unload, and operate their firearm. This is not a beginner’s course. If you're unfamiliar with your firearm or have never shot before, we highly recommend taking our Basic Pistol Course or scheduling a private training session before enrolling in the LTC course.
