Kimberly is an outstanding firearms instructor! She made the process very straight forward with clear directions to insure an efficient and pleasant experience at the range.

Was a great time doing my LTC shooting exam with Kimberly. She was phenomenal and clear with her instructions. I can tell that she enjoys doing what she does. Her positive energy radiated to us students during our exam.

Awesome experience with an amazing Instructor. Thank you Kim!

Texas allows permitless carry for many adults, but an LTC can still be valuable for things like carrying in other states (reciprocity) and added legal clarity in certain situations.
Most people complete: (1) the required instruction (often online or in-person), (2) the in-person range qualification, then (3) submit the state application, fingerprints and any other required items.
You’ll complete a structured course of fire under instructor oversight. We focus on safe handling, clear direction, and helping you complete the qualification confidently.
Bring a government-issued photo ID, LTC104 (completion certificate), eye/ear protection, your handgun and magazines, and 100 rounds of factory issued ammunition. Dress for outdoor range conditions.
No. Training and qualification are required steps, but Texas DPS makes the final decision on issuing your license after your application is reviewed.
